About Us

We are the primary student-led charitable society at the University of Warwick, raising over £200,000 for various causes every year. A famous name, RAG is consistently one of the largest societies on campus, with a membership of over 1000 students from a wide variety of backgrounds. We offer our members the chance to engage in a diverse range of exciting activities, including challenge events, raids (street collections), domestic and international volunteering opportunities, one-off events and a crazy social calendar.

We also recently won the "Biggest Impact on Campus" award and will continue our hard work over the coming year!

A Message From Our President

Bia
Beatriz Pinheiro Torres
Welcome to Warwick RAG (Raising and Giving) 2020-21! We are the largest charitable society on campus, not only that, but also the most incredible society in Warwick*! We strive to provide students with innovative and fun ways to fundraise, allowing us to have a yearly impact on campus, locally and even internationally! With so much on offer for you this year, I challenge you to not find something you'd love to get involved in!
The best part of RAG is that you truly get to shape your own journey. Whether you are a bold adventurer, a committed athlete or a home lover, there is always something for you! You could climb the tallest mountain in Africa, get to travel the farthest possible within 36 hours with no money, raise hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of pounds on a bucket collection in London, give back to the community by volunteering in the annual Kenilworth Fireworks or come along to the biggest fundraising events on campus during our infamous RAG week! And that’s just scratching the surface!
If none of that makes you become a member**, I don’t know what will! But whatever you choose to get involved with in RAG, I can guarantee that it will be one of the most rewarding opportunities of your University experience, it will allow you to meet a lot of like-minded people (especially in our socials!) and will allow you to develop as a person! You will make a difference in a range of local and international causes, or if you want to put on your own fundraising event, we are here to guide you and help you through it! I am beyond proud to lead the passionate and committed people who make Warwick RAG the success it is, I hope you will join us this year.
Loads and loads of RAG love,
Bia

*Warwick SU Societies Awards 2017 Winner: Best Society
**RAG is 100% free to join, no need to even buy the societies’ confederation fee!

A Message From Our Welfare Officer
Chuky O’Toole
Alexandra Kranck
RAG is one of the most welcoming and supportive societies on campus. Making members feel welcomed and at home is our number one priority. There has always been a stigma surrounding mental health; We want to help change that. There is no problem too big or small to come and talk to us about. We want everybody in the society to feel like they can speak openly about problems inside or outside the society. We are always free to message if you need someone to talk to.
